Byrne Racing Team went to ORP
David and the Byrne Racing Team went to ORP with high expectations after its 11th place finish at the same track for the “Night Before the 500”, only to have the hopes dashed with a broken electrical wire on the battery. We only get 1 practice and when the car didn’t start for practice, it really hurt us the entire night. The first laps on the track were qualifying. David qualified 30th out of 47. We took that to the heat race where we finished 6th with only the top 4 transferring to the A-Main. In the B-Main David started 14th and raced his way to 9th but only 6 transferred to the A-Main, so our night was done.
Columbus Speedway. Mother Nature won on July 4th and the promoter rescheduled for July 5th. Steve and David were not able to miss 2 more days of work so we had set our sights on the Milwaukee Mile for July 21st and 22nd. Hope to see you there!
